چکیده

Tactical software defined radio (SDR) networks demand stringent requirements of latency, throughput, and reliability. In the past, significant efforts have been made to achieve maximal efficiency with modifications improvements either in an individual layer or through cross-layer design its working protocol. this paper, we propose a novel consisting adaptive multi-input medium access control (AMI-MAC) along intelligent channel allocation scheme supported by multiband multimode physical layer. A cognitive engine further empowers approach high improved quality service (QoS), range capabilities. The proposed exhibits mixed use narrowband wideband waveforms accommodating different as per demanded QoS. uniqueness enables SDR operate hybrid topology receiving multiple signals bandwidths same configuration RF front end. AMI-MAC ensures reduction both data phase latency. MAC utilization time frequency spectrum. Bandwidth delay optimization is also managed trio layer, MAC, cognition reduce latency desired Simulation results are presented show superiority over conventional tactical MAC.

Multi-channel Medium Access Control Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks: A Survey

Extensive researches on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been performed and many techniques have been developed for the data link (MAC) layer. Most of them assume single-channel MAC protocols. In the usual dense deployment of the sensor networks, single-channel MAC protocols may be deficient because of radio collisions and limited bandwidth. Hence, using multiple channels can significantly ...

Cooperative ARQ: A Medium Access Control (MAC) Layer Perspective

Cooperative Automatic Retransmission reQuest (C-ARQ) schemes have become a very active research topic over the last years. C-ARQ schemes constitute a practical way of executing cooperation in wireless networks with already existing equipment. C-ARQ schemes exploit feedback from the receiver, i.e. cooperation is only executed when needed, and thus are sometimes referred to as cooperation on-dema...

An Adaptive Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocol for Reliable Broadcast in Wireless Networks

Ab.wacrThis paper presents ABROAD, an adaptive medium access control (MAC) protocol for reliable broadcast packet transmission in wireless networks. ABROAD incorporates a collision-avoidance handshake within each slot of a synchronous transmission schedule, allowing nodes to reclaim and/or rewe idle slots while maintaining bounded ac. cess delay. Thus, ABROAD provides worst-case performance gua...
